About Me

Hello, I’m Nadia Bouakaz — a French teacher and certified wellness practitioner passionate about helping others find calm, balance, and connection through mindful movement and breath.

Alongside teaching French part-time at a private school in Rochester, I’ve developed a deep love for Mindfulness, Breathwork, Meditation, and Pilates — practices that have transformed my own well-being and inspired me to share their benefits with others. My work brings together language, awareness, and movement — helping people reconnect with themselves in meaningful, gentle ways.

About My Journey

My journey began through personal challenges and a curiosity about holistic healing. I first trained in Mindfulness with the Mindfulness in Schools Project (MISP), motivated by the increasing stress and anxiety I witnessed in young people, particularly during and after Covid. Seeing how mindfulness helped students regulate emotions and build resilience encouraged me to continue on this path.

I later qualified as a Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) teacher through the University of Bangor and trained as a Breathwork and Meditation Facilitator with Just Breathe — experiences that deepened both my understanding and my own sense of inner calm.

To bring movement into my mindfulness practice, I trained as a Pilates Mat Instructor with the PhysicalMind Institute New York (under Sandrine Gasnier Pilates) and went on to study Nervous System Regulation and Sound Baths, allowing me to offer a more holistic experience in every class and workshop I lead.

The Journey

Our Mission

My mission is to help others reconnect with themselves — body, mind, and breath. I believe true well-being begins with self-awareness, presence, and compassion. Through mindfulness, breathwork, and movement, I guide people to slow down, release tension, and rediscover a sense of calm and clarity within.

I’m passionate about creating spaces where individuals can pause, breathe, and find balance amid the pace of modern life. My aim is to make these practices accessible to everyone — empowering others to build resilience, nurture emotional well-being, and cultivate a deeper connection to themselves and the world around them.

Take time for you.
Breathe deeply.
Come home to yourself.
